Danvers Route 1 Water Main Work Requires Loss Of Service
The Danvers DPW said some businesses and homeowners could lose water service for up to five hours on Friday and Saturday.
DANVERS, MA — Some Danvers homeowners and businesses could lose water service for up to five hours on Friday night as crews repair water main gate valves on Route 1.
The Danvers Department of Public Works said homes and businesses on Memorial Drive in Middleton, sections of Ferncroft Road and Preston Street, and Route 1/Newbury Street from Conifer Hill Drive to the Topsfield line will lose water service from 11 p.m. on Friday until 4 a.m. on Saturday.
Work will be ongoing throughout the day on Friday on Route 1.

All travel lanes will be accessible throughout the duration of work and only the breakdown lane will be occupied by the crews, Danvers DPW said.
"Please drive with caution as you approach the area," Danvers DPW said. "Advanced warning signs and police details will be present during the work."
