Danvers Will Get Its First Medical Pot Dispensary In November
Sanctuary Medicinals had hoped to open the facility on Route 1 South this past spring.
DANVERS, MA -- Sanctuary Medicinals CEO Jason Sidman said his company is on schedule to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Danvers in November. The facility will be located in the Danvers Industrial Park on the southbound side of Route 1. Delays in licensing from the state forced the company to scuttle its original plan to open this past spring.
"It has taken a lot of work and a tremendous team, with full cooperation with the municipality of course, and we couldn't have done it without everyone working together," Sidman told the Salem News, which first reported this story. "It's very exciting to be at this stage."
