Danvers Wins Division 3 North Title; Play at Garden on Monday
Danvers boys basketball knocked off Saugus on Saturday.

It still remains to be seen where things will end for the Falcons’ 2011-12 boys’ basketball season, but one thing is certain: that season is not over yet.
No matter what happens, the Falcons (19-4) can claim the title Division 3 North champion after their 53-40 victory over the Sachems of Saugus (14-10) on Saturday at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell.
While it was close at the half, by that point the Falcons had built a five-point lead, which they parlayed through a stingy defense that only allowed 15 total points over the next two quarters.

Senior Danvers center George Merry led all scorers with 22 points while Curtis Casella led the way for Saugus with 19.
The Falcons’ victory earned them a trip to the TD Garden on Monday evening where they will face Division 3 South champion Wareham (22-0) in a fight for a berth in the Division 3 State Championships at the DCU Center in Worcester next Saturday.
