Diabetic Dabs® now in Whole Foods Market Wellesley

Recently, Middleton-based Diabetic Dabs announced the launch of Dabs® in Whole Foods Market Wellesley

Are you diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes? Anyone living with diabetes knows that testing blood sugar levels several times a day is commonplace. Checking blood-glucose levels involves taking a small drop of blood, usually from the fingertip, and placing it on a test strip in a glucose meter. Finding a clean and convenient way to remove excess blood from the finger can be a challenge.

Diabetic Dabs®, an innovative new product may be able to help the daily burden of finding a clean and easy way to remove the excess blood from your finger after blood glucose testing. The company was founded by Middleton, Massachusetts mom Liz Sacco after her son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of nine. Diabetic Dabs® are dry, stackable wipes that look like a square block of white sticky notes that fit neatly into the handheld glucose test kit.

“After doing some research, I found that there was not a convenient product for cleaning blood after each finger prick that could fit in my son’s already over crowed glucose testing kit. It was that missing component of his testing routine,” said Liz Sacco, Founder and President, Diabetic Dabs (http://www.diabeticdabs.com/index).
