Dyer Finishes Season with Strong Performances Against Elite Competition
Danvers junior Haley Dyer put in a strong effort Nov. 20 at the MIAA All-State meet, finishing 62nd out of 181 in the Div. II girls' race. She then placed 78th today at the regional Foot Locker cross-country championships in New York.

Haley Dyer closed out her season for the Danvers Falcons with the best of the best in the state last Saturday, finishing 62nd in a field of 181 Division II runners at the All-State meet in Gardner.
Dyer, a junior, covered the 2.9-mile golf course in 18:46, posting a faster time than her performance at the Eastern Mass. Championships at Franklin Park on Nov. 13. Dyer finished 23rd at 21:00 and was on pace last week to shave nearly a minute off that time, all the more impressive as she is coming off a hip injury she suffered earlier in the season during a meet against Marblehead.
The All-State outing was Dyer's third appearance in three years. Last year, she finished 29th in the 5K Division II girls' race with a time of 20:50.
