Easter Savior: Injured Owl Rescued On Danvers Route 1 North
State Police said a trooper set up flares to protect the owl until environmental police could take it to a rehab facility.
DANVERS, MA — State Police came to the rescue of an injured owl on Route 1 north in Danvers on Easter morning.
Police said Trooper Peter Spinale found the owl injured on Sunday and stood by the bird, setting up flares to protect it from oncoming traffic, until environmental police arrived on the scene.
Environmental police were able to gather the bird and take it to a wildlife rehab facility where it could recover from its injuries.
