Edible Wild Plants and Mushrooms of New England

Free program on edible wild plants and mushrooms that can be locally foraged in New England, including Massachusetts and the North Shore.

When: Tuesday, May 17th at 6:30pm

Where: Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan Street, Danvers MA 01923

What: Expert forager Russ Cohen will present a 90-minute slide show covering the 80+ species of edible wild plants and mushrooms that call New England home — and provide handouts and a foraged goodie! For each species, Cohen will present: identification tips, edible portions, seasons of availability, preparation methods, and general guidelines for safe and environmentally-responsible foraging.
