Essex County Habitat For Humanity Holds Gingerbread House Contest

You can enter to build your own affordable home (out of Gingerbread!)

Essex County Habitat is holding its first annual Gingerbread House Contest and fundraiser to support building affordable housing in Essex County.

The event, hosted by Danvers Community Access TV (DCAT), will be held on Saturday, December 9 at the Maple Street Congregational Church where the gingerbread houses will be built. Teams of four will check in at 1pm, with building from 1:30 to 3pm, followed by judging and an awards ceremony.

The rules are simple - you must use the six gingerbread pieces supplied. You can embellish them with decorations, additions, or characters to your hearts content. You can also bring your own candy and extras.

Register your team of four for $100 today at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/...! Proceeds from the contest will help us build more (real) affordable houses.
