The Essex Harmony, artists-in-residence at the Danvers Historical Society, will be in concert as part of the Essex Heritage “Trails & Sails” series. The Essex Harmony specializes in music from the “Singing School” period of colonial America and in selections from contemporary American composers. The concert features 3 selections from Vermont’s Elisha West, 3 versions of Psalm 23 spanning 300 years, the Parker-Shaw arrangement of Wondrous Love, and selected tunes by Billings and that most prolific of composers – Anonymous.
