Ex-Danvers Selectman Gets Probation For OUI Crash
A woman and her daughter were injured in the head-on crash on Dec. 30 in Middleton.
DANVERS, MA — Former Selectman Keith Lucy, 54, of 7 Ashley Lane in Danvers, was sentenced to 18 months probation after admitting to sufficient facts to a single drunk driving charge. The charged stems from a Dec. 30, head-on crash on Maple Street in Middleton. The woman driving the other car and her 15-year-old daughter were taken to the hospital following the crash.
According to a police report, Lucy was apologetic and told responding officer he had just left the nearby China Villa restaurant after an argument with his brother. According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, Lucy's lawyer asked for the judge to not impose a guilty finding, as Lucy could lose his job as a defense contractor.
