Ex-Employee Charged With Sex Assault On Danvers Detox Patient

Pasquale Piantedosi, 55, of Saugus, worked at Lahey Hospital's drug treatment facility in Danvers.

DANVERS, MA -- A Saugus man pleaded not guilty to two charges of rape in Salem District Court Monday. Pasquale Piantedosi, 55, of Saugus, was indicted earlier this month on charges he sexually assaulted a patient at Lahey Hospital's drug treatment facility in Danvers in March. Lahey suspended and later fired Piantedosi after the allegations were first raised following the March 9 incident.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, the indictment accuses Piantedosi of using his finger to sexually assault the woman two times. He was expected to be released on $1,000 bail and with conditions to have no contact with the victim and to wear a GPS monitoring bracelet.
