Firefighters Work To Keep Danvers Brush Fire On Vacant Lot

DANVERS, MA — A brush fire on a vacant lot near the Danvers-Wenham town line was threatening to jump a narrow lane and into a residential neighborhood Thursday afternoon. Firefighters from across the North Shore responded to the fire, which is near the Beverly Airport. Smoke could be seen from the fire for several miles away. The fire was first reported around 1:50 p.m. Thursday.
