Gathering Change, Inc. and the Feinstein Foundation Challenge

Gathering Change, Inc. is a local non-profit that raises hunger awareness and collects money to be given to local food pantries.   They have taken the challenge of the Feinstein Foundation, a charitable organization that helps fight hunger by awarding $1 million to various hunger relief programs.  So for any money or food donations raised from March 1st-April 30th, Gathering Change, Inc. will get a portion of that $1 million.   Please support us in our efforts to alleviate hunger in our towns by making a donation to Gathering Change, Inc. at www.gatheringchangeinc.org.  An extra bonus this year is that Feinstein Foundation is sponsoring ‘National High School Food Drive’ .  It is an opportunity for local high schools to get money for themselves AND collect food for Gathering Change, Inc. to distribute.  The food collected helps the local food pantries, increases our portion of the giveaway money, and five $10,000 awards will be given to the five students who individually collect the largest number of canned food items as part of their school’s overall drive and five $10,000 grants to the schools who collect the most cans.
