Groundbreaking Ceremony For Athletic Fields at Danvers High School

The public is invited to the groundbreaking ceremony for the Danvers Athletic Fields will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, July 31, on the fields near the end zone nearest the scoreboard at Danvers High School.

The High School Athletic Fields project involves the relocation of the competition track and stadium, incorporating a synthetic turf field, the construction of ADA accessible stadium bleachers with a seating capacity of 2,500, and the construction of energy efficient lighting systems and scoreboard.

In addition, one of the baseball fields will be relocated and two U10 playing fields (135’ x 105’) will be added. Five existing tennis courts will be reconstructed, the site will be regraded and utilities, including a stormwater drainage system, upgraded.
