Here's a Chance to Try Square Dancing For Free
Riverside Squares of Danvers, MA is offering a free introductory night of square dancing and free soup and chili
Fifty years ago a group of folks in Danvers got together and started a square dance club which they called Riverside Squares as their first home was near the Danvers River. That club is still dancing to this very day. Somethings such as the location, the dress of the dancers, and some of the music has changed over the years but they still welcome new dancers into the group every September and January.
Wednesday, September 10th is everyones opportunity to check out Modern Square dancing - the fun way to exercise mind and body. Come to a free introduction held at the All Saints Episcopal Church, corner of Holten and Cherry Streets, Danvers, MA. (Use 13 Holten St. for GPS location) Entrance is at end of driveway on Holten St., across from Danvers Town Hall. The session runs from 7 to 9:00 pm. Come hungry as homemade soup and chili will be served. No experience necessary, no partner needed to learn, casual dress. All you need it the ability to walk briskly.
