INFO: Danvers Family Festival's 1st Annual Field Day on Saturday

Live Music, Scoop-AHHH Bowl, Fishing Derby, Wiffleball Tourney, Pickleball, Cornhole, 3-Legged Race, Kiddie Obstacle Course and More!

The First Annual Danvers Family Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 1 at Plains Park, 55 Conant St., (adjacent to Holten Richmond Middle School). The event was rescheduled from June because of rain.

Description Of Event: Fun for the entire family, with fun, competitive sporting events for the all age groups, including a Wiffleball Tourney, Pickleball, Cornhole, Three legged Race, Kiddie Obstacle Course, Egg Toss, Dizzy Bat Relay, Pool Noodle Javelin Throw, Tug of War, Football Toss, and a Baseball Skills Competition. We’ll also have Face painting, a magician, balloon and bubble station, as well as music, food trucks and just a whole lot of fun!

There will be tons of games for kids of all ages, according to event organizers, including everyone’s favorite SCOOP-Ahhh-BOWL, and music by Entrain. A $5 tickets allows you to sample dozens of your favorite flavors, from Goodies, Cherry Farm Creamery, Captain Dusty’s Ice Cream, Putnam Pantry, Richardson’s Dairy and Treadwell’s.

Michael Gordon Fishing Derby will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Mill Pond, 15 Sylvan Street, Danvers. The Mill Pond is adjacent to the Peabody Institute Library. The fishing derby event is free. Families are reminded to bring bait. Also, you should bring a bucket to take your catch to the weigh station.
