Jason Guida officially kicked off his bid for State Representative today by launching his website (www.voteguida.com) along with a social media presence.
Born and raised in Danvers, Jason has worked in all three branches of state government — legislative, executive and judicial. As a former Legislative and Budget Director in the State Senate, he helped secure additional funding for line-items which were essential to the community, worked to protect civil rights and co-authored sweeping public safety legislation. His time as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting cases resulted in less drugs and illegal guns in our community. He personally oversaw the implementation of public policy initiatives as a manager in the executive branch. Now as a private attorney and owner of a small firm, he helps clients navigate complicated regulations and fights for due process and individual civil rights.

Jason’s first-hand experience in the Legislature, the complicated Executive Branch, our criminal justice system and as a private sector business owner make him the ideal candidate for State Representative.
Jason is a true independent leader who will always do what’s best for his constituents. As an Independent, Jason will not be bound by the orders of the Speaker of the House or the Republican Leader.
“The needs of Danvers, Peabody and Middleton cannot be fully met by voting on party lines time after time. The average person is sick of the petty partisan politics. It is time for our legislators to work for the people who elected them and not for party leaders or special interest lobbyists.” stated Guida.
Jason is known by his co-workers and friends alike as a reasonable and reliable resource for advice. He provides unbiased solutions after listening to all sides of a situation or problem, a unique quality that is missing in today’s politics. Jason will work to support our communities in the aftermath of COVID-19, fight for small business, protect our seniors, address the opioid and addiction crisis, create jobs and support our schools, teachers and working families.
Jason loves his community and is unapologetic about how great of a place the 13th Essex District is to live and work. He grew up in Danvers, is a product of the Danvers Public School system and has been actively involved in local youth sports over the past several years.
“State Representative is the next step in a career that has been dedicated to public service and helping people. I am eager to apply my experience, independence, approachability and the love of my community to advocate on behalf of my friends and neighbors on Beacon Hill.”
