The second annual “Kayak for Clean Water” is a great family-friendly event sponsored by Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church to raise funds and awareness for the Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) and their work to provide clean drinking water to the people of South Sudan. The group will be meeting at Lynch Park (no fee for parking after Labor Day) in Beverly (55 Ober St, Beverly, MA 01915) to kayak, demonstrate a simple water filter and have lunch.

At 10 AM, those who wish to kayak will pay their registration fee of $25 and kayak for about an hour with all funds raised going directly to ARDF (you can find out more about their work at www.anglicanaid.net). At 11 AM, the public, including families with children, is invited to see how a water-filtration system efficiently transforms dirty water from ditches and swamps into clean drinking water without electricity.

Those wanting more information are encouraged to visit www.ctr-anglican.org, or email Fr. Malcolm Reid (malcolm.reid@ctr-anglican.org). The church has asked those that are planning to kayak or have lunch to please RSVP by calling the church office at 978-774-3163.
