Liberty Street Project Update Meeting on Thursday
State highway officials will be at the meeting to provide information and updates.

A Liberty Street project update public meeting will be held at 6:30 Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Riverside School to discuss impacts to the Liberty Street Reconstruction Project. The meeting will be held in the school auditorium.
The $8 million roadway/culvert reconstruction project was designed by the Town of Danvers with oversight of the construction by MassDOT.
The project consists of:

- Complete rehabilitation of Liberty Street from High Street to Pauline Road
- Raising the roadway up to 3 1/2 feet where it crosses the river.
- Temporarily relocating utilities to the west side of the road at the river crossing.
- Replacement of the two culverts/bridges over the Porter River
- New curbing and sidewalks the length of the roadway
