'Major' Danvers Water Main Break May Discolor Water Monday
The Danvers Department of Public Works said the water main break was repaired Sunday night but that there may be residual effects.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents in the area of Garden Street may experience the residual effects of what the Department of Public Works called a "major water break" in the Garden Street area Sunday night.
Danvers DPW said the break was repaired as of Monday morning, but that the surrounding neighborhood may continue to see discolored water throughout the day.
"If you are experiencing discolored water, please run your cold water from the highest point in your home for 10 minutes and flush toilets to clear out any discoloration," the Danvers DPW said in a message to the community Monday morning. " Discoloration should dissipate by end of the day today."
