Man Pleads Guilty To Lewd Conduct In Danvers Library
The defendant, who has schizophrenia, will undergo a mental health evaluation as part of his sentence.
DANVERS, MA -- Salem District Court Judge Shelley Richmond Joseph ordered Frank A. Consoli, 57, of 15 B River Drive in Danvers, to undergo an evaluation for people who exhibit problematic sexual behavior as part of a 120 day jail sentence. Consoli pleaded guilty Thursday to a lewd conduct charge stemming from an incident in the young adult room at the Peabody Institute Library last September. Consoli received credit for time served and the balance of the sentence was suspended for a year, pending the completion of the evaluation.
Consoli has schizophrenia, according to the Salem News, which first reported this story. On September 25 police were called to the library after woman saw him masturbating. The evaluation Consoli will undergo was recently developed by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health for people with serious mental illnesses.
