Memorial Day In Danvers: What You need To Know

DANVERS, MA -- Monday, May 28, is Memorial Day, and the town will be hosting its annual parade beginning at 9 am. The parade will start from the Town Hall and will follow the traditional route of previous years. Stops and placement of wreaths will be at the Porter Cemetery on High Street, Lane Parkway and the Memorial Flag Pole in Danvers Square. A reviewing stand will be at the corner of Elm and Essex Streets.

The Memorial Day Exercise at Town Hall will commence at approximately 10:00 a.m. upon parade completion. The Danvers High School Marching Band and Chamber Singers will perform. The public is invited to attend this ceremony honoring all veterans.

• Mail: Express delivery only
• Trash/recycling collection: Delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc., ending with Friday pickup on Saturday.
