Men Reportedly Steal Cardboard Sign From McDonalds

The following are excerpts from reports in the Danvers police log from Friday through Sunday.

Friday May 27

• Rebecca Johnson, 22, of 56 Winter St., Woburn was arrested at 5:26 p.m. after shoplifting perfume, a handbag, and shipping labels from WalMart.  With her, James Watson, 37, of 47 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested on warrant and also charged with operating under a suspended license. 

Saturday May 28

• A manager at on 77 High Street notified police after he saw a group of young men stealing a cardboard sign from the grassy area outside of  the restaurant. 

• A '94 Honda Accord was reported stolen at 12:50 p.m. from 62 Purchase St. The stolen vehicle was said to have been taken late Friday night or early Saturday morning. 
• At 5:08 p.m. police received notice that paperwork, including the car owner's license, which was on the front seat of her vehicle, had been stolen at Dunkin Donuts on 153 Endicott St. the previous day. 

• Lisa Defelice, 35, of 8 Bagley Terrace, Lynn. and Derek Wallice, 35, of 43 Essex St., Salem were both arrested for shoplifting miscellaneous clothing items from Kohls at 5:37 p.m.
• Jeffrey Lee, 35, of 16 Granite Rd., Ossipee, NH was arrested at 44 High St. for disorderly conduct after loudly swearing at police officers, who had been called to the party scene regarding fireworks. 

Sunday May 29

• Officers were dispatched at approximately 1:45 a.m. Sunday, after receiving a phone call that a vehicle had been "dumped" after it underwent damage to its front end, rim, and a flat tire. Police followed the markings from the abandoned car to a parked vehicle that had been obstructed, causing damage to the front bumper and quarter pannel. Police identified Matthew Kreschollek, 26, of 5 Lester Rd. as operator of the dumped vehicle, and he was arrested on OUI after failing a field sobriety test, leaving the site of damaged property, and operating a motor vehicle negligently. 

• Police responded after a report of malicious damag. Between 2:30 and 3 a.m. a rock was thrown through the rear window of a Toyota parked at 78 Burley St.
