Merrimack Valley Philharmonic to Feature Native Violin Soloist Joshua Peckins on March 13th
Violinist Joshua Peckins will perform with the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic on March 13th at Veteran's Memorial Auditorium in Andover, MA

The Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra is very pleased to welcome back native artist, Joshua Peckins, who has returned after living several years in Vienna. Joshua will be featured with the orchestra, performing Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin in D Major, Opus 61.
Since first performing as a violin soloist at age 11, Joshua Peckins has shared his beautiful music both locally, as well as performing throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia. Some of his highlight venues include Jordan Hall (Boston), Crystal Hall (Asahikawa, Japan), Cité Université (Paris), Sprague Hall (New Haven), and the Riverbend Center (Austin). Joshua has performed as a soloist or chamber musician in numerous recitals, charity concerts (e.g., for the Boxford Trails Association), and prestigious music festivals worldwide. He has also appeared on the North Shore resident chamber music series, Music at Eden’s Edge, selected as the inaugural “Emerging Artist” for that organization’s professional mentorship program.
A dedicated teacher, Joshua is a faculty member at the New England Conservatory Prep School and Extension Division and the Rivers Conservatory. He also teaches privately in Somerville, MA. Mr. Peckins holds degrees in violin performance from the New England Conservatory, Yale University School of Music and the University of Music of Vienna, respectively.
