MORTGAGE NETWORK JOINS HAWC IN RAISING MONEY FOR SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Danvers, MA – April 29, 2015 ─ This past weekend, Mortgage Network, Inc. was one of the sponsors for the 23rd WALK for HAWC to help raise money to provide free, confidential services to domestic violence survivors in 23 cities and towns across Massachusetts’ North Shore. HAWC (Healing Abuse Working for Change) is the oldest and the most comprehensive domestic violence agency on the North Shore.

For the event, Mortgage Network employees and friends from two different states participated in HAWC’s largest fundraising event, a 3-mile walk through Salem, Massachusetts. The goal of the event was to raise more than $100,000 to benefit the agency’s variety of services, including a 24-hour hotline, support groups, individual, legal and hospital advocacy, a shelter program, community education, and a Parent-Child Trauma Recovery program.

“It was an honor supporting such a great cause as HAWC,” said Brian Koss, Executive Vice President of Mortgage Network, who participated in the WALK FOR HAWC with several other Mortgage Network employees from Maine and Massachusetts. “Building healthy communities is what Mortgage Network is all about. We were fortunate that our team from as far away as Maine came down to help make the change.”
