MORTGAGE NETWORK SPONSORS 'POLAR EXPRESS' NIGHT AT THE CABOT
Holiday event raised funds for new playground and performing arts center
Danvers, MA – December 10, 2015 – Family, friends and employees of Mortgage Network, Inc., one of the largest independent mortgage lenders in the eastern U.S., turned out for the Polar Express Family Holiday Event at The Cabot in downtown Beverly, Massachusetts this past weekend to raise funds for two community projects.
Mortgage Network served as a sponsor of Sunday’s event, which began with a Polar Express Fair that included a raffle, a special visit from Santa Claus and a book signing by Chris Van Allsburg, author of the children’s book favorite, “The Polar Express.” Afterwards, guests saw a screening of the 2004 film version of the book.
The event was sold out with 700 attendees. Proceeds went to support the Dane Street Playground and The Cabot Performing Arts Center. The Dane Street Playground project was created by a group of local residents to design and install a new, safe playground on Dane Street Beach in Beverly. The Cabot Performing Arts Center plans to renovate and revitalize The Cabot Street Cinema Theatre as a cultural arts center and live performance space. Built in 1920, The Cabot is one of only 250 similar movie palaces of its kind in the U.S.
