New Danvers Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, and More to be Sworn In Thursday

Several public safety officials will be celebrating their promotions Thursday.

DANVERS, MA — The new Danvers fire chief, deputy chief, six firefighters, and a police officer will all be sworn into their new positions Thursday night.

The Danvers Police and Fire Departments will have a swearing in ceremony for Fire Chief Robert Pyburn; Deputy Fire Chief Robert Amerault; Captains Brian Barry and Glen Cooney; Lieutenants Jay Wessell and Dave Mondi; and Firefighters Cody Croft and Brandon Duggans. On the police side, Philip Tansey will be promoted to captain.

The ceremony will take place Thursday night at 6 p.m. inside the Danvers High School Atrium. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
