No Surprises In Danvers Election

The one-in-10 Danvers voters that showed up to cast ballots overwhelmingly favored incumbents in contested races Tuesday.

DANVERS, MA -- Incumbents Gardner Trask and Bill Clark were reelected in a four-way race for two seat on the board of selectmen in the Town of Danvers election Tuesday. In a three-way race for two seats on the school committee, challenger Kevin Neely came up short in his bid to unseat either Mary Beth Verry or David Thomson.

According to unofficial results, just 2,110, or 10.5%, of Danvers's 20,185 registered voters. Turnout was nearly flat from 2017, when 2,079 voters cast ballots.
