North Shore Center for Hoarding & Cluttering offers Conference on Harm Reduction June 28

North Shore Elder Services’ North Shore Center for Hoarding and Cluttering offers their annual conference on Friday, June 28: Harm Reduction for Hoarding.
Eileen Dacey, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Specialist, will provide an overview of hoarding disorder and discuss how harm reduction works in cases pertaining to hoarding. There will be a discussion of the new pilot project, “Come as You Are: You Have CHOICES.” The day will conclude with a panel discussion including various professionals providing examples of how they have utilized harm reduction when working on hoarding cases.
The conference begins with registration and continental breakfast between 9am and 10am. The day ends at 1:15pm. The event takes place at the offices of North Shore Elder Services. Recently, Eileen Dacey, MSW, LCSW, Program Manager for the North Shore Center for Hoarding and Cluttering, at North Shore Elder Services, was presented with a proclamation signed by Governor Charlie Baker declaring May 26 - June 1 "Hoarding Disorder Awareness Week." With support from State Senator Joan Lovely, Eileen advocated for this proclamation to elevate the seriousness of Hoarding Disorder and to educate the public.
