North Shore Elder Services' Annual Meeting Luncheon

Guest speaker, Dr. Maureen E. Gormley, RN, MPH, PhD, presents "Battling Alzheimer's: Coupling Science with the Power of Hope"

Join us on January 15th, 2016 for NSES Annual Meeting at Angelica’s Restaurant, 11:00am - 1:30pm in Middleton, featuring guest speaker, Dr. Maureen E. Gormley.  Dr. Gormley’s discussion, “Battling Alzheimer’s: Coupling Science with the Power of Hope” will address the importance of front-line caregivers in tipping the balance from despair to hope as they assist families in coping with the stress of Alzheimer’s Disease.  Drawing from her professional experience as COO of a national research hospital and recent real-life experience with her mother’s rapidly progressing dementia, she will include an overview of the challenges we face as a country in our battle against the disease, with emphasis on the importance of professional caregivers as their daily work re-frames crises into possibilities.
