Obituary: Arthur C. Gould Sr.; Engineer, Spent Years Working on Nose Cone Design For the Apollo Missions
Participant in virtually every South Pacific island battle, including Iwo Jima, and was present at the Japanese surrender at Tokyo Harbor.

Arthur C. Gould Sr. 91 of Danvers beloved husband of Hazel E. Gould passed away peacefully at his home.
Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, he was the son of Edmund and Svea (Palm) Gould. Arthur grew up in Peabody and attended Peabody High School.

A Navy veteran of WWII he saw action in the South Pacific and was a participant in virtually every island battle including Iwo Jima and was present at the Japanese surrender at Tokyo Harbor.
He was retired from Aviation Corporation where he was employed as a manufacturing engineer and spent many years working on nose cone design for the Apollo missions.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife of 69 years, he is survived by his two sons, Randy Gould and his wife Norma of Byfield, Arthur Gould Jr. and his wife Angela of Middleton, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as several very special nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: A celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 11, at 11:00 a.m.at Brightview of Danvers, 50 Endicott Street, Danvers, Mass. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St. Danvers, MA 01923.
