Obituary: Carol (Mills) (Queeney) Kardenetz, 67, of Danvers

Carol (Mills) (Queeney) Kardenetz, 67, of Danvers, passed peacefully at the Kaplan House on October 22, 2014. She was with her family and looking forward to reunion with her late husband George Kardenetz.

Carol was born in Salem on December 22, 1946, the daughter of the late Helen (Malski) Mills, and Francis Mills, who served as the Danvers town moderator for 23 years. She graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School and the Boston College School of Nursing.

Carol was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother who gave all of her life to her family. She worked as a psychiatric nurse in various hospitals and organizations, and got great enjoyment from helping others deal with life issues. Her last years were spent in retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Erin Queeney and her partner Michael Walsh, two grandchildren, Christian Gonzalez and Devlyn Walsh, all of Beverly, four brothers, Colonel Frank Mills (ret.) and his wife Carol, of Springfield, Virginia, David Mills, of Danvers, Tom Mills, of Walnut Creek, California and Christopher Mills and his wife Paula of Thomaston, Maine . She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Carol’s name to North Shore Elder Services, 300 Rosewood Dr., Danvers, MA, 01923.
