Obituary: Daniel L. Cronin, Recipient of the Bronze Star Medal

Daniel L. Cronin, 84, passed away peacefully at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA on June 21, 2015.

Born in 1931 in Hallowell, ME, son of Daniel and Bridget Cronin, brother of Stephen Cronin, Dennis Cronin, Maryann Dalbeck and the late Eileen Patrick. Dan graduated from Cheverus High School, Portland, ME and Kemphill Diesel Engineering School, Long Island, NY.

He served in the US Army as Staff Sargent and was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.

He is survived by his wife, Nora Murray, of 58 years and his three children; Daniel and his wife Lori of Peabody, MA; Kathleen Borsh and her husband James of Stratham, NH and Patricia of Palm Harbor, FL. He also leaves three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visitation on Wednesday morning from 9am - 10:30am. in the Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St., Middleton, MA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am in St. Richard Parish. Burial to follow at Annunciation cemetery.
