Obituary: Eleanor (Devarenne) DiGiuseppe, Avid Golfer and Enjoyed Spending Her Time With Family and Friends

Member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Thomson Country Club, and the Danvers Garden Club.

Eleanor (Devarenne) DiGiuseppe 87, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late George DiGiuseppe, died April 25th, 2015 at Emeritus at Cherry Hill Assisted Living in Danvers.

Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Haggerty)Devarenne. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Beverly and Salem Commercial School.

Mrs. DiGiuseppe had been employed as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper in the automotive industry, most recently with Ipswich Ford and York Ford.

A longtime resident of the Town of Danvers, Eleanor was a communicant of St. Richard’s Church in Danvers. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Thomson Country Club and the Danvers Garden Club. She was an avid golfer and truly enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Eleanor is survived by her son Thomas DiGiuseppe and his wife Denise of Danvers, her daughter, Kathleen Goodwin and her husband Frederick of Lee, N.H., her grandchildren, Thomas, James and Stephen DiGiuseppe, Joshua, Jeremy, Adam and Melissa Goodwin, her brothers, John Devarenne and his wife Ruth of Danvers and LeoDevarenne and his wife Sue of Michigan, her sisters-in-law, Shirley Devarenne of Michigan and Marion Bradbury of Danvers and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Devarenne, Mary Hammond and Phyllis Albert.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass which will be held in St. Richards Church, Forest St., Danvers, Saturday, May 2nd at 9 A.M. Visiting hours in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Friday, May 1st from 4 to 7 P.M.. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Eleanor’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 or to the Danvers Garden Club, P.O.
