Obituary: Frank J. Roberto, Owned Several Motels and Mobile Trailer Parks

World War II Veteran

Frank J. Roberto, 96, passed away on December 13, 2014 in Kaplan Family Hospice House.
Born in Topsfield, he was the son of the late Alphonso and Grace (Paglia) Roberto. He was raised and educated in Beverly and Revere and graduated from Revere High School. He served our country with the United States Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged. Frank had been a successful entrepreneur and owned several motels and mobile trailer parks. Frank was an avid sports fan especially enjoyed cheering for the Red Sox and the Patriots. He was a devoted uncle and great uncle.

He is survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Lydia Scarbriel of Peabody, Judy Egan of Danvers, Alphonse Roberto of Peabody, Aida Grace Mazzola of FL and Maryann Raisman of IL. He was predeceased by his son, Samuel Roberto, and his brothers Anthony, Louis and Joseph and two sisters, Hilda Kapamagian and Fannie Pelonzi and two nephews, Gerald and Alphonse Pelonzi.
His Funeral Service will be held at 11:30AM on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be at 11AM, prior to the service. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Frank’s name to Mother on a Mission, Inc., 4 Hurd Ave., Saugus, MA 01906.
