Obituary: John T. Wesson, Owned Stewart and Prince of Danvers, a Mechanical Contracting Firm

Served in the U.S.Navy during WWII

John T. Wesson, 92, of Peabody, beloved husband of Beatrice M. (LaMontagne) Wesson, died October 28th, 2014 at Brooksby Village, Peabody surrounded by his family.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late John and Susan (Howard) Wesson. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II.

An entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Wesson was the Owner and President of Stewart and Prince, Inc., of Danvers, a mechanical contracting firm specializing in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration, for many years prior to his retirement.

A longtime resident of the Town of Boxford, John was an avid golfer who enjoyed his work and loved his family. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

In addition to his wife Beatrice, of 64years, John is survived by his son, Wayne Wessonand his wife Diane of Ipswich, his two daughters, Dale Howlett and her husband Kevin of Stratham, NH, Paula Bauers of LaVale, MD, his four grandchildren; Michelle Ford and her husband Chris of LaVale, MD, Dawn Wesson of Marlborough, Brian Howlett and his wife Meaghan of Newton, NH and Christopher Howlett and his wife Melissa of Exeter, NH, his five great-grandchildren; Owen Howlett, Samuel Howlett, Isabelle Howlett, Jacob Mercadante and Shannah Ford, his siblings, Claire Ries and her husband Arnold of Plymouth, NH and Michael Wesson and his wife Lucy of Manchester, NH. He was also the brother of the late Mary “Ruth” Ricker.

Arrangements: John’s Funeral Service will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers, Monday, Nov. 3rd at 6 P.M... Relatives and friends invited. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 5 to 6 P.M.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02412.
