Obituary: M. Eleanor (Walsh) Porter, Raised Her Family in Danvers
She loved to travel and especially enjoyed trips to her camp in Maine.

Danvers- M. Eleanor (Walsh) Porter, 87, passed away on March 21, 2015 in her home. She was the loving wife of the late Delbert E. Porter with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn on January 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Bohanon) Walsh. She had resided and raised her family in Danvers. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed trips to her camp in Maine. More recently, Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Roger Trask Adult Day Health.

She is survived by five children, Louise Forsaker and her husband Jorgen of Danvers, Carol Vaccaro and her husband Steve of Beverly, Debra Riley of Danvers, Lorrence Porter of Danvers and James Porter of Danvers, her daughter-in-law, Kathie Porter of Groveland, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three siblings, John Walsh of Florida, Ann Sabino and Carol Walters, both of Danvers and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Porter and sister, Edith Walsh.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 1PM on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held on Saturday prior to the service from 10AM-12:45PM. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eleanor’s name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
