Obituary: Marjorie Koch St. Cyr, AKA "Mrs. Saint"

She left detailed instructions for Normand and her children to celebrate her time at Bayberry Road.

Obituary from Mackey Funeral Home.

Marjorie Koch St. Cyr, AKA “Mrs. Saint,” 82.

“Marjorie would like to let you know that her time here is complete. She received an invitation, the sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for a family reunion from which she will not be returning. This celebration will reunite her with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new adventure takes her to a wonderful place where she will be dining, traveling, entertaining, socializing, dancing, and cheering on her beloved family and sports teams to her heart’s content. Music, laughter, and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious, cocktails are ice cold, and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for Normand and her children to celebrate her time at Bayberry Road. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.”

Marjorie St. Cyr survived a twenty–five year triumph over cancer. She passed quietly in her sleep at her home with her husband, Normand, beside her and as she wished. Marjorie is known for her unique, bright, and outgoing personality. She was a sociable and loving wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her life will be celebrated, though she will be missed by her family, her friends, and her community. Marjorie’s religion was kindness, which she practiced everyday. Born in Swampscott, Massachusetts, Marjorie was the daughter of late Paul and Madeline Brennan Koch. Marjorie graduated from Swampscott High School in 1950 as valedictorian of her class and was a member the National Honor Society. After graduation Marjorie worked as an assistant librarian at the Swampscott Library. She was an extraordinary partner in her husband’s consulting business, Consolidated Systems, Inc., and, along with her husband, an original co-founder of the Danvers Butchery, Inc. She married Normand, her childhood sweetheart and husband of 63 years. Together they have five children who survive her: Gary and Mary (Harmon) St Cyr, of Yardley, PA; Wendy St. Cyr of Sonoma, CA; Dana St. Cyr and Nancy Almeida of Leicester, MA; Glen St. Cyr and his loving partner, Cheryl Moulton of Danvers; and Jeffrey St. Cyr, also of Danvers. Her beautiful legacy includes eight grandchildren: Heidi, Brett, Scott, Katie, Garrett, Kerri Lee, Ian, and Ella. She also is survived by her two great grandchildren, Marlee Grace and Isaac. She is also survived by her two sisters, Katherine Scott of Beverly, MA; and Pauline Gautreau, of Saugus, MA, along with their families. Marjorie enjoyed entertaining friends, her hot tub, boating, and traveling with her husband. She created hundreds of hand-painted ceramic pieces which she shared with family and friends. She was an avid supporter of Boston’s sports teams. She especially loved Christmas...known to all as Marjorie’s favorite day. She loved people. She loved flowers. She loved making things beautiful. She loved her yard. She loved her family. She loved her husband. She loved. She attended St. Richards Catholic Church in Danvers, was a member of the Danvers Polish American Club, and the Mr. and Mrs. Catholic Churches Couples Club of Danvers.

Celebration of Life, Friday Jan. 30, from 5pm-8pm at the Polish Russian Lithuanian American Citizen’s Club, 12 Cheever St., Danvers, MA to which all are kindly invited. (No Services at Funeral Home). In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations in Marjorie’s name to a charity of your choice.
