Obituary: Michael Pezzuto Jr., Polymer Chemist for 35 years

An avid sailor, was a lifetime member of the Palmers Cove Yacht Club of Salem

Michael Pezzuto Jr. Of Danvers, formerly of Burlington & Everett, died Dec. 15th, from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was the Beloved husband of 60 years of Irene (Colosi) Pezzuto.

Born in Everett, he was the son of the late Michael Sr. and Erma (Masielo) Pezzuto. He was raised and educated in Everett. He was a graduate of Everett High School and continued his education at Boston College.

A Polymer Chemist for 35 years, Mike held multiple patents in the plastics industry & retired from Astra Zeneca in 1996.

As an avid sailor, Michael was a lifetime member of the Palmers Cove Yacht Club of Salem.

Michael is survived by his devoted caregiver and daughter, Christine Saunders & her husband William of Danvers, his son, Michael D. Pezzuto of South Boston & his two grandchildren, Patrick & Rachel Saunders of Danvers, his brothers Robert Pezzuto of Chelsea, Richard Pezzuto of Winthrop. He was the brother of the late Frank Pezzuto of Saugus.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Thursday Dec. 18th at 10 A.M. Relatives & friends invited. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Wednesday, Dec. 17th from 5 to 7 P.M.. Donations in Michael’s memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, Ma 01923.
