Obituary: Ramona Dolores (Crisostomo) Estevez, Last Survivor of 12 Children

Ramona Dolores (Crisostomo) Estevez, 90, of Danvers, died peacefully on Friday,December 19, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in the Dominican Republic on November 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Ramon and Loretta (Henriques) Crisostomo and was raised there before emigrating to Massachusetts 49 years ago. She had been employed in the Shoe Industry in Lynn for many years prior to her retirement. While residing in the Dominican Republic she enjoyed riding her bicycle by the river, going to the theatre and watching baseball games. He most cherished joy was being and caring for her family. She was the last survivor of twelve children.

She is survived by two sons, Ramon Antonio Crisostomo and his wife Elsa of York, PA, and Juan Arturo Estevez and his wife Magali of the Dominican Republic, two daughters, Dinorah Perez of Danvers and Rita Gonzalez of Peabody; Nineteen grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 late grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, 16 Church St., Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
