Obituary: Richard C. Spaulding Jr., 57, Worked For the Family Business, Spud's Restaurant
He was an honest man with a big heart and a goofy laugh that would give you anything you need.

Richard C Spaulding Jr., also known as “Richie”, passed away on June 24, 2015 at Portsmouth Hospital with his family by his side. He was the son of Richard and (the late) Alberta Spaulding of Danvers, MA. He was born on February 13, 1958 in Salem, MA, graduated from Danvers High School, and lived most of his life in Danvers, MA, Topsfield, MA and North Hampton, NH.
Rich is survived by his wife Debbie Spaulding, her son Jason Coffin and family, and her son Christopher Coffin and family. He also leaves behind his Father’s dear friend and companion, Barbara Heaphy and all of her loving family. He is also survived by his brother Scott; niece, Caitlin Spaulding, Caitlin’s mother Joanne Johnson, and nephew Anthony Johnson. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Spaulding of Topsfield, his wife Lisa, and their children, Ryan, Alex, Jake, and Kate Spaulding.

Rich worked for the family business, Spud’s Restaurant, for many years where he befriended everyone he met. He was an honest man with a big heart and a goofy laugh that would give you anything you need.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a visiting hour from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Mackey Funeral Home, 128 Main St., Middleton, MA. This will be followed by a service at 11:00 am in the same location. In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to make a donation to a charity of your choice in his name.
