Obituary: Robert C. "Bob" Bechard, Worked at GTE Sylvania For Over 36 Years
He served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer.

Robert C. “Bob” Bechard, 80, of Governor Wentworth Highway passed away on Saturday February 14, surrounded by his family.
Bob was born March 25, 1934 in Danvers Ma, the son of Charles and Lucille Clementine (Hogan) Bechard.
Bob was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School in Lynn and Northeastern University. He served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer.

Bob married Alma Ann-Marie MacKenzie in 1958, and together they raised seven children. They lived in Beverly, MA, in their first home on Garfield Ave. and they eventually moved into a larger home on Columbus Ave.
Bob worked at GTE Sylvania in Danvers, MA for over 36 years and retired in 1993. Upon retirement Bob and Alma moved to Melvin Village, NH where they have since resided. Bob is predeceased by his sister Carol and his son Barry.
He is survived by his wife Alma married for 57 years.
Bob leaves behind his wife Alma and their children Kelley, Jeffrey, Karen, Kristin, David and Katie, his grandchildren Stephanie, Jeffrey-Barry, Rhiannon, Robert (Robbie), Kyleigh, Sammantha, Spencer, Preston, Barry and Emily, and great grandchildren Dallas, Devon, Sam, Jacob and Bryson. Bob was a devoted family man and a friend to all that knew him. His family will forever miss him and his legacy will live through them all.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
