Mayer Robert Larkin of Danvers passed away March 17, 2015 at the age of 91. Robert, as he was commonly known was a resident of Danvers for over 50 years. He graduated from Haverhill High, attended the University of Maine in Orono and graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in 1950.
Robert was a Sargent in World War Two and received a Purple Heart after being injured in the line of duty. His professional life included a long career as a classical pianist and in July 1945 performed for Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin at Potsdam.

Robert was the owner of the Larkin Theatrical Agency in the 1950s and later in his career ventured into becoming an investment broker, a nursing home administrator and a real estate broker. His positive energy affected everyone he met.
He is predeceased by his parents, Hyman and Sarah Larkin, his sister, Fayga Goldman and his brother, Norman Larkin.

He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Dolores Larkin of Danvers; his son, Paul and his wife, Korrie of Topsfield; his son Brian and his fiancée, Maryam of Gloucester; and his son, Steven of Los Angeles, CA. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Friday, March 27th from 4 - 7 P.M. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com
