Parker Wheeler to Headline Concert Benefiting Bolivian Orphanage
Parker Wheeler and his blues band headline concert on October 17 at Christ the Redeemer in Danvers to benefit Niños con Valor in Bolivia.
On Saturday night, October 17th, at 6:30 p.m., Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Danvers will once again play host to Parker Wheeler and his band. This time, however, all proceeds from the concert will be benefiting a great cause: Niños con Valor (Children of Value).
The Bolivian mission team at CTR is raising money to help purchase land in Bolivia to build an all-inclusive orphanage complex, Comunidad Niños con Valor, that will integrate all the children in one place with a specific emphasis on the children with special needs and HIV/AIDS.
This festive event will be headlined by popular local blues performer Parker Wheeler and will also feature refreshments, including traditional Bolivian desserts, as well as a silent auction with many great items.
The event is in memory of Greg Russo, a parishioner who passed away while serving at the Niños con Valor orphanages in Cochabamba, Bolivia last year. While in Bolivia, Greg expressed a desire to bring an awareness of Niños con Valor to the parishioners of Christ the Redeemer as well as to people on the North Shore and beyond when he returned.
Tickets are $25.00 per person. For tickets and information contact: Shaina Decker (shaina@corporatecasuals.com) or Kurt Decker (kurthdecker@gmail.com). Christ the Redeemer is located at 188 Elliott Street (Route 62) near the Danvers/Beverly line.
