Police Log: Danvers Police Make 11 Arrests

Friday, Aug. 8

At 7:03 p.m., a Walmart employee reported a shoplifter. Police took a report.

At 8:09 p.m., police arrested April Colvario, 39, 252 Shirley St., Winthrop, and charged her with shoplifting by asportation. Police made the arrest after a report of someone trying to steal a sweatshirt at Walmart.

At 9:33 p.m., police responded to Motel 6 after someone tried to break in and steal ladders.

At 10:23 p.m., police arrested Louis Gleason, 48, 31 Poplar St., Danvers, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor.

At 11:16 p.m., police arrested Hector Havarro, 21, 21 Collins St., Lynn, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Saturday, Aug. 9

At 6:36 a.m., police arrested Hassan Chalmus, 38, 39 Hornborn St., Boston, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest at Motel 6.

At 9:42 a.m., a Kirkbride Drive resident reported a break-in. Police took a report.

At 1:35 p.m., police received a call after someone reportedly broke into a storage unit on Popes Lane and stole a laptop.

At 4:20 p.m., police arrested Samantha McGrath, 31, 152 Endicott St., Danvers, and charged her with shoplifting by asportation (second offense). Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at Walmart.

At 10:11 p.m., police received a call about missing jewelry at Motel 6. Police took a report.

At 11:28 p.m., police arrested Briana Munroe, 28, 177 Maple St., Danvers, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor. Police made the arrest after a car accident at Elliott Street and Roman Avenue. There were no reported injuries.

Sunday, Aug. 10

At 4:01 p.m., an employee at The Home Depot reported a customer stole a table

saw. Police took a report.

At 6:44 p.m., police arrested Timothy Corbett, 33, 46 Princeton St., Danvers, and charged him with violating an abuse prevention order.

At 11:54 p.m., police arrested Scott Pierce, 36, 6 McDewell Ave., Apt. 17, Danvers, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor. Police made the arrest after a report of a driver “all over the road” on Elliott Street.

Monday, Aug. 11

At 12:34 a.m., police arrested Jonathan Snow, 32, 6 Venice St., Apt. 1, Danvers, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

At 7:28 a.m., police arrested Eric Butler, 29, 26 Summer St., Gloucester, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Maple Street.

At 8:36 a.m, a Kirkbride Drive resident reported a broken windshield. Police took a report.

At 1:01 p.m., police arrested David Jones, 30, 66 Newcastle St., Lynn, and charged him on a warrant. Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at Walmart.

Tuesday, Aug. 12

At 2:47 p.m., police received a call from North Putnam Street about a stolen sewing machine.
