Police Log: Two Alleged Repeat Drunk Drivers Arrested

Wednesday, April 16

At 5:38 p.m., police received a call about malicious destruction of a motor vehicle on Merrill Street.

At 7:25 p.m., police arrested Jennifer Barrett, 33, 19 Bryant St., Salem, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Maple Street.

Thursday, April 17

At 6:44 a.m., police arrested Christopher Amado, 27, 27 Pulaski St., Peabody, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and having an altered exhaust system. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Andover Street.

At 2:14 p.m., police placed a 51-year-old Danvers man into protective custody after a well being check.

At 3:49 p.m., police arrested Kelly McGovern, 45, 198 Washington St., Peabody, and charged the driver with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (second offense). Police made the arrest after a motor vehicle accident at the Liberty Tree Mall. There were no injuries.

At 8 p.m., a Walmart employee reported a past shoplifting.

At 8:50 p.m., police arrested a Danvers juvenile and charged the person with shoplifting by asportation. Police made the arrest at Target.

At 11:27 p.m., police arrested Thomas Elwell, 22, 46 Bartholomew St., Peabody, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, failing to stop and a lane violation. Police made the arrest on Maple Street after the report of a driver “all over the road.”

 

Friday, April 18

At 3:17 p.m., police responded to outside Dick’s Sporting Goods about a person selling electronics out of a vehicle. The person left before police arrived.

At 4:03 p.m., police arrested Amanda Sochat, 33, 52 Princeton St., Danvers, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (second offense). Police made the arrest on Maple Street after a report of an erratic driver.
