Police: Man Flashed Gun At Ex-Girlfriend Outside Danvers Mall

"Hollow points. I wouldn't play games with me," David White yelled at the woman, according to a police report.

DANVERS, MA -- A man who police say flashed a gun at his ex-girlfriend during a child custody swap in the parking lot of the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers pleaded not guilty Wednesday to domestic assault with a dangerous weapon and assault charges. Several witnesses called police Jan.7 after seeing David White, 24, of 25 Vista Drive in Danvers, and three other people arguing. At one point, White walked up to his ex-girlfriend's car, pulled up his short to reveal a .40-caliber Smith and Wesson and yelled "Hollow points. I wouldn't play games with me."

According to the Salem News which first reported this story, White has a permit to carry the weapon that was issued by Peabody Police. While Salem District Court Judge Emily Karstetter concluded that White poses a danger to the woman, she released him on the condition he wear a monitoring bracelet and have no contact with his ex-girlfriend.
