Police Seize 200 Pounds Of Marijuana, More In Drug Bust
Danvers Police arrested four men during Thursday's bust.

DANVERS, MA -- Four men were scheduled to be arraigned in Salem District Court Friday after they were arrested by Danvers Police. Gary Cioffi Jr., 34, of Peabody, Taylor Arellano, 23, of Lynn, Donald Spongberg, 26, of Saugus and Thomas Iannello 29, of Saugus are all facing multiple narcotics charges, according to police.
During the arrest, police seized 200 pounds of marijuana, THC-infused edible candies, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and tens of thousands of dollars in cash. Police also recovered thousands of THC honey butane cartridges and various types of cannabis oils and cannabis-related products, the Danvers Police Department said in a statement.
"These edibles are intentionally designed to look like candy and could easily be mistaken by a young child," Danvers Police Chief Patrick Ambrose said in a statement. "Their removal from the street eliminates the possibility of accidental ingestion by children, as well as, the intentional abuse from teens in our community."
