Public Hearing This Week on Danvers' Water and Sewer Rates

The Danvers Board of Water & Sewer Commissioners will hold a public hearing this Thursday to set new water and sewer rates in town.

The hearing will take place at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Department of Public Works' business office at 2 Burroughs St.

The new rates will be in effect for Fiscal 2014, which starts July 1. The current rates are as follows:

Water

RESIDENTIAL 
First 20 HCF per quarter, $5.03 per HCF 
20 HCF to 24 HCF per quarter, $5.60 per HCF 
Greater than 24 HCF per quarter, $7.26 per HCF 
Base charge per quarter $10.50 per HCF 

COMMERCIAL 
First 40 HCF per month, $5.03 per HCF 
Greater than 40 HCF per month, $5.78 per HCF 
Base charge per month $18.75 per HCF 

Sewer

RESIDENTIAL
First 20 HCF per quarter, $6.12 per HCF
20 HCF to 24 HCF per quarter, $6.30 per HCF 
Greater than 24 HCF per quarter, $7.63 per HCF

COMMERCIAL 
First 40 HCF per month, $6.12 per HCF 
Greater than 40 HCF per month, $6.30 per HCF
