Serious Crash Shuts Down Route 95 In Both Directions On North Shore During Rush Hour

BYFIELD, MA — Route 95 was shut down in both directions for a crash and Medflight helicopter response during the Thursday evening commute.

Emergency Services reports said the crash was in the area of Central Street at about 4:30 p.m. The Medflight took the victim to Tufts Medical Center, according to media reports.

Southbound lanes of the highway opened by 6 p.m. while some lanes were getting by northbound.
